EAST ANGLIAN MEN’S SPRING FOURSOMES

Saturday and Sunday 19^th & 20^th April 2008

The Competition will be played as follows:

Saturday	Qualifying round, 36 holes Stableford against Par, under handicap. The first 4 pairs will qualify for the Main Match Play competition on Sunday. All other competitors will play Match Play in Flights of 4 pairs on Sunday.
Sunday	Morning – Match Play Semi-Finals Afternoon – Match Play Finals and First Flight Third and Fourth place play off.

The winners of the main Match Play Final will hold the Trophies for one year and receive prize vouchers.

Prize vouchers will also be presented to: Runners Up, third and fourth places in the First Flight.

Winners and Runners Up of Match Play Flights 2 – 5

Winners of Match Play Flights 6 - 12

The best nett scores in the am and pm Saturday rounds.

Rules and Conditions

Entry Fee

The Entry Fee of £65.00 per player (HGC members £45.00 each) which includes buffet lunches on both days, must accompany this entry form. Entry fees will NOT be refunded for withdrawals after 16^th April.

Optional Sweepstake £3.00 per pair.

Entries

Will be limited to a maximum of 48 pairs (Minimum age limit 18 years at time of entry) Entries will close on 20^th March 2008, and competitors will be notified by post by 5^th April 2008 of their start times and opponents in the qualifying round. In the event of the entry being over subscribed, those pairs with the highest combined handicap will be balloted out.

Handicaps

Combined limit per pair of 20. No individual handicaps above 18 will be accepted. HANDICAP CERTIFICATES MUST BE PRODUCED.

Ties	in the Qualifying Round will be decided on the last 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes.

MATCHES ALL SQUARE at the end of the round must be continued until one side wins a hole, strokes being taken as they originally occurred. Finals that are not completed will not qualify for a prize or voucher.

1. The Qualifying Round of 36 holes Stableford will be played off ½ of combined handicaps.
2. Match Play stages will be played off 3/8 difference of combined handicaps.
3. Competitors should report to the Secretary on arrival to confirm their current playing handicaps and to collect morning cards.
4. Use of buggies is not permitted.
5. We would ask all competitors to avoid SLOW PLAY. This is not acceptable and the Committee may penalise those who offend.

The decision of the Competition Committee is final on all matters.

Competitors will be elected Honorary Members of the Club for Saturday and Sunday 19^th & 20^th April 2008. Practice rounds may be played on Friday, 20th April on payment of an introduced green fee (£20.00).

Start times may be reserved by application to the Secretary.

PLEASE NOTE: A jacket and tie will be required at the Presentation of Prizes on Sunday.
