Another of Hunstanton's famous holes, the thirteenth is another great driving hole. The tee shot really does need to be aimed at the marker post on the distant ridge. Anything leaking to the right, if it is not bad enough to be lost, will find itself either with an awkward lie or in lush, green rough from which it is almost impossible to get home in two. A weak, pulled shot will find itself in a large bunker with a steep face thwarting any attempt of a shot at the green. The second is played across a wilderness of sandy scrub. This shot is blind if one's ball has run down the far side of the ridge on which the marker post stands. The green is angled to the direction of play with surprisingly more room on the left than one imagines
